Becoming a Volunteer

To become part of the railways volunteer team, you first have to join the Railway Enthusiast Society.


Download a form and send it to PO Box 13 – 684, Onehunga, Auckland, 1643, New Zealand

Once you have become a member of the Society, you then may join the railway in whichever part you wish.

We welcome any age and any gender to join the team. For safety reasons we recommend persons under the age of 12 to be accompanied a parent or guardian for at least there first instance in volunteering on the GVR.
